Our Food Philosophy
Here in the kitchen of Churchill House Inn, our philosophy on food is simple: fresh and natural. We create our breakfasts and four-course dinners from scratch using wholesome ingredients and traditional methods: unbleached flour stone milled in Vermont; locally grown vegetables, including some from Olya's own organic garden behind the Inn; free-range eggs gathered on an organic farm just a couple of miles away, and so forth. In season, you may enjoy with dinner vegetables that were ripening on the vine that same morning. We avoid using foods that have been genetically engineered or chemically processed. Using the purest ingredients in recipes handed down from previous innkeepers and our own diverse families, as well as novel dishes from today's gourmet trends, produces delectable, unpretentious meals that are sure to delight. The Churchill House Inn is a proud participating member of the Vermont Fresh Network.
